Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Coloring materials are used daily in my middle school Spanish class. Students are learning a new language with the help of an interactive notebook. To complete their notes, students need to color various sections. Since there are over 90 students in my classes who are using materials almost daily, the classroom markers and colored pencils are drying out and rapidly dwindling. While some of the students have started bringing in their own coloring supplies, other students are not able to bring in their supplies from home.

By donating to our project, you would be helping to create an equitable classroom with materials that can be used by every student.

Students will be able to use these materials to complete their notes and deepen their understanding. Your donation would also provide prizes and incentives for students. All students regardless of age love stickers! These stickers would be used to reward students when they do well on assessments and projects. When students do an outstanding job of showing their learning, I want to reward them by letting them choose from a selection of jibbitz (for their crocs).

Mrs. Towne will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 9.
