This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you know what most of my students do during summer break? Watch YouTube, play video games, and watch tv. I want to provide a way for students to engage in some old fashioned summer fun with their friends instead! I'm creating Summer Success Bags filled with educational activities to keep students learning. I'd also like to include easy games for my students to play with their siblings and neighbors.
I want to teach my students how to play easy games like marbles, jump rope, four square, and jacks.
I plan to spend some time the last week of school teaching my students these classic games, so they have easy ideas for active fun! Sending each student home with these games will ensure that all my students have access to the materials they need for a screen-free summer!
