Help me give my students an opportunity to learn new skills in safety/sanitation in the culinary setting. We recently had to put our old dryer out to pasture and we are in desperate need of a new one! 😊
My students are a wonderful group of young people who truly enjoy taking our Hospitality and Tourism courses. Many of my students are from a very low socio-economic area and and they do not have exposer to enrichment activities in the community. Fortunately, our Hospitality/Culinary program fills that gap by providing culturally diverse students an opportunity to share the fruits of their labor with others. We have learned to appreciate each other and the experiences we all bring to the table.
My Project
Our much loved clothes dryer “Miss Bertha,” finally took her last spin on the dance floor recently and my Hospitality/Culinary students need a clothes dryer for drying dish towels, aprons and table linens. We would all be most grateful, especially Mrs. Johnson since she is now taking the laundry home nightly to dry! Your donation is greatly appreciated and our Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members promise to pay it forward by providing emergency laundry service for students throughout the school term; being able to provide this service keeps our students in school learning and prevents unnecessary early dismissals.
