Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Allow me to introduce my innovative students to you.
We have a very vibrant bunch that are excited about learning. They are also some of the most hard working students I know. They're always so willing to accept the challenges of high expectations, performing and engaging in the processes of learning. Every time they come to my class they have a smile on their face and you can tell that they are just genuinely happy to be at school.
As an educator, this has been one of the most encouraging things that makes me love teaching even more. Did I mention that our students are hard workers! In my computer class, the students have to accomplish a variety of computer assignments that are given to them by their homeroom teachers. They also complete all of their state mandated high stakes testing in my classroom. They respectfully get to work and work hard to accomplish what has been given to them. They take learning seriously, but they are also free to have fun while doing it!
My Project
My students need a new desktop computer that will allow them to hear clearly. This will allow them to be effective and improve in their math and reading fluency, on high stakes testing practice, short cycle assessments, PARCC testing, and other fun apps that will help support their learning skills.
One of my jobs as a technology teacher is to prep students for high stakes tests like the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC).
This assessment will measure whether students are on track to be successful in college and careers.
This computer will enhance the learning experience for students in K-5th grade.
