This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I love the fact that my kindergarteners love to learn new things and how they take what they learn home to show their loved ones. My kinder babies have been learning the importance of being organized, keeping you up, and taking care of their belongings. Each group has a group leader who is responsible for collecting and charging their group's devices while ensuring that the cords do not get tangled up or all over the place. It is a struggle to keep the cords untangled because of the space that we have available for them in our classroom.
Having a charging station will help students practice organization and feel more accomplished as leaders of their group while ensuring their safety.
This promotes and encourages proper responsibility at a young age and that is my goal for this project and my students. Also, having a charging station will also help me ensure that my students are safe as well. Knowing that the cords are properly stored prevents a tripping hazard and it will help with making sure that the device and cords will not be damaged. These are a few reasons why my class needs this charging station for the tablets that they use on a daily basis for learning purposes with us being at a STEM-based school as well as for their free time usage.
