My school is located in a community that has many changes from day to day and can often not provide school supplies needed for a large number of students.
I teach in a low-income Kindergarten classroom where hands-on learning and manipulatives are needed for success!
My students do not have the resources to purchase basic school supplies needed for their everyday learning.
My Project
We have just reached the half way mark of the school year and our supplies is running low! Our students fly through dry erase markers and eraser caps! Their supply bags are also are ripping and falling apart.
The paper protectors will allow our students to use dry erase markers without having to purchase a laminator.
Lastly, as the school year continues, our students behavior fluctuates. Having an in classroom prize box helps our students to work towards a reward each week. They are given a behavior star every day. If they receive all green stars throughout the week they will be able to choose one prize!
