Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are first graders. They have grown so much this school year. Sharing their milestones in an organized manner allows less chaos and smoother transitions. Apart of the whole child initiative and character building, students take on the responsibility of “data days” During data days students share the goals they have set for themselves and how they accomplished those goals every 9 weeks. Currently, our classroom does not have the necessary storage that makes their folders easily accessible for them. We have them in crates in a different location. This storage unit will make retrieval better for students to find their names or classroom number to share their information with minimal support.
