As stated in our vision statement, our students are truly “a community of lifelong learners with heart.” Ranging in age from 3-12, our school services students who come from a variety of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. We service a high population of English Language Learners (ELL), special education, and students who dwell in apartments/condominiums, making a majority of our students transient.
Despite the diverse student population we cater to, all students have one thing in common, and that is they are all hungry for learning and broadening their abilities and knowledge.
With the goal of educating the whole child, students are beginning to shine in different areas other than just the core subjects.
My Project
Our classroom is in need of an extreme makeover! To go with the Dr. Seuss theme, "Oh, The Places You'll Go," we will need a large area rug and a gallon of paint (to name a few). Before the school year starts, we hope we get the needed supplies to welcome in the new school year and the new students.

This year will be the first year we will be doing inclusion. Students varying in learning abilities, behavior, etc., will be under one roof, learning the same skill or concept. In order to differentiate instruction, and make learning much more rich and meaningful, an area rug for the students to gather on will help get the students moving from chair to floor. Craft and science supplies will also help students with different learning styles to learn difficult concepts in the core subjects. Lastly, paint and a vacuum cleaner will help to maintain and give our classroom that fresh and exciting look for the brand new school year.
With these materials, we hope that our students will go to places unimaginable! We hope that learning will be fun, exciting, and meaningful, in a place that inspires and gives off that fun and exciting feel. Thank you for your much-needed support and cooperation.
