My Students

I work at a school district that serves a student community that is 90% Native American. They are respectful, motivated, and eager to learn. Despite all their daily obstacles they are resilient and strive for any learning opportunity. Although most of our families live below the poverty level, it does not dampen their willingness to learn and do well at school.

My Project

Our students love to learn and, like most of us, learn best hands-on. We have been using Google Expeditions to learn about locations, cultures, and careers through virtual reality. Students will get to manipulate and walk their way through the wonders of our world as we learn about these places.

Having Virtual Reality viewing capability will allow us to continue to grow and explore.

Students will get to explore objects like the space stations and the human body as we encompass these in our class. By providing this experience, the student who will never get to leave our town will feel as though they have experienced the wonderful things in our world has to offer. This experience will provide an engaging learning experience for my students.
