Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school celebrates the achievements of our graduating seniors with a special event called Decision Day. This day is dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of our seniors throughout their high school journey. During Decision Day, seniors proudly announce their college choices while enjoying food and games. Many of our seniors come from underprivileged backgrounds, and as the school's college advisor, I have witnessed firsthand their hard work during the college application process and their unwavering commitment to pursuing higher education. We plan to host a carnival-themed celebration where we will celebrate with the seniors while also discussing their next steps and answering any questions they may have about higher education. Our staff members have contributed their own funds to these events in the past.

To alleviate the financial strain on our staff members, we decided to create this project.

We hope that these supplies will provide a fun, educational experience for our students as they prepare for their higher education journey. Additionally, we plan to reuse these materials throughout the school year and for our future Decision Days!
