See what Mrs. Cuffe is requestingMy students need good reading materials at home. Dr. Seuss is classic and this specific book is so full of hope and wisdom for its readers. I hope to give each student a copy to keep.

My students are the most inquisitive and spirited bunch I have ever met. They fill my days with positivity and energy. Each day is new and different as they bring such unique perspectives and outlooks on what we are learning.
Although my students have many challenges in their lives, they have good hearts and genuinely want to do well and succeed.
I see every day how hard they work to have a fulfilling life. I constantly worry and hope that I am doing enough to help them be the best they can be!
Life can be confusing and difficult and scary... especially for a kindergartener! Dr. Seuss' "Oh the Places You'll Go" does not sugarcoat that but it does offer sage advice and optimism. My students are full of hope and wonder and I wish to facilitate these qualities even when they are no longer in my classroom.
I want my students to always have an outlet even when life might not be great.
Something they can turn to that will remind them to keep their chin up and keep working hard at what they want. Our kindergarten graduation is just around the corner and my vision is to give each of my kindergarteners a copy of the Dr. Seuss classic "Oh the Places You'll Go." This book instills hope and bits of wisdom in its readers- something I want my students to internalize.
Additionally, these students do not have a multitude of quality reading materials at home so by giving them at least this one book I can make sure they forever have a book they can call their own.
