My Students
John Moffet Elementary School services K-5 students in Philadelphia's Kensington section. The families and neighbors here are close and supportive. Unfortunately, the student population is 100% economically disadvantaged.
At Moffet, we are very proud of our school community.
We are a community of diverse students dedicated to becoming lifelong learners and productive citizens. All of the students at Moffet follow the 3 Rs which represent our core beliefs. The students at Moffet are "Moffetized" when they are Respectful, Responsible and Ready.
My Project
Teachers can project and share anything with document cameras. From live demonstrations, to student artwork, stories, tests and quizzes, students will be able to see it all.
Students will benefit greatly from having the document camera in class!
Want to see a painting technique? Students can watch the teacher's hands work the brush projected for all to see. Does a student know how to solve that tricky problem? Students can model how to work out math problems on their math workbooks. Want to read a picture book with your kindergarten class? Now the whole class can see the illustrations and read along as the book is projected for all eyes! As an Art and Technology teacher who incorporates S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) into my lessons, I know my students would love to have a document camera in the classroom.
My students will gain a great advantage with the addition of a document camera in the classroom. Productivity will go up and behavioral issues will decrease as there is no more shuffling to see what the class is working on.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
