Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students are unique because they are non-traditional students who are being given another chance to learn in an alternative learning environment. The hands-on learning experience for them is necessary and is also social and emotional learning.

I plan to use the learning resources as a gateway from where our students are to showing them what they can become!

When students are engaged in learning through application and doing, the feel powerful and important. The materials will be used in science classes as exploratory and student centered learning. Students will then have the opportunity to present their observations and work to their peers, teachers, and parents.
