Oh My! That Rug Is Alive!

Help me give my students a colorful and durable library rug that would be perfect for introducing the alphabet through sight, song, and 3D magic!

My Students

Our school has over 650 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. We have a diverse group of students from different cultures, economic backgrounds, learning capabilities, styles, and interests! I love to provide them an opportunity to grow through a variety of educational tools and resources! My students love to explore, be creative, gain more knowledge, and, most importantly, read! They investigate through books and technology!

The wonderful part of my job is teaching over 650 students weekly.

The library is like a home and is inviting to my students! When they visit the library, they do not want to head back to class!

My Project

I could only imagine the fun and learning that my students are going to have with the Zoo Crew Classroom Alphabet Rug! Anytime with exploration of 3D, my younger students are always amazed and shocked that the 3D items are not actually "ALIVE."

Their shocked faces, their excitement, and their eagerness to learn should be the essential part of their daily learning and their impression of what amazing school should be!

This colorful, durable rug will allow 26 different animals to come alive right on the rug with a mobile APP. The students will have to match the correct habitat card with the animal! Students will be able to walk around the animals and explore them from all sides. They will be able to take pictures with their animals and we would definitely share those with their parents! With this type of learning, my students will have a better chance of retaining their knowledge of animals and their habitats. Students can predict, check, sort, and compare their findings. This animal exploration will prompt them to read more about their animals or research about their findings through animal websites! The rug will also offer my younger students an introduction of the alphabet with sight, song and 3D magic. What a fun way to explore the alphabet! The fun does not end there. My creative students will discover their own fun learning activities with this amazing rug! This rug is a definite must have for my lIbrary and my students!
