This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With the 3d printer, the students can design and build atomic models of substances. The models created will show how electrons are shared or transferred in the chemical bonds of a specific compound. They will apply their knowledge of the patterns in the periodic table and predict the bond types within the compound.
Designing of the model will allow students to explore and understand how the molecular structure determines the substance's properties and its behavior with other elements or compounds.
They will consider if their atomic model's scale is accurate.
