Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a great class of students. All of my students happen to be on the Autism Spectrum. I am inspired every day by my students' enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. The look of pride on their faces when they master the skills they are learning is priceless. I love coming to work every day. I have truly been blessed to be able to share my students' learning journey! They have proven capable of so much more than most people have given them credit for. With your support, the sky is truly the limit for my students.
My Project
Every child deserves all of the supplies he/she needs to excel in school. Unfortunately, my students are from a district with limited resources for school supplies.
By helping my students get the notebooks, folders, pencils, and other supplies needed to create a functional language arts center, you will be helping to set them up for a year of success.
The ability to express oneself in writing is a critical 21st-century skill. By setting my students up with the supplies they need, you will help them focus on learning. They will no longer need to worry about where their supplies will come from. They can focus on what they want to create with them!
