Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every school year, our classroom is in need of basic supplies that need to be replenished. Crayons and markers are a very hot commodity. I like to provide materials that are developmentally appropriate, so primary crayons and markers are my first choice. The Kleenex tissues are always a welcome donation to any classroom.

My students are eager to learn and experiment with different materials.

We used tempera sticks for the first time this year and the students really enjoyed working with them. I would like to be able to make tempera sticks a permanent part of our basic supplies.

My hope through this project is to be able to have lots of extra supplies for my students so they can continue to create throughout the year.
