Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our district educates approximately two hundred fifty residential and day students in kindergarten through grade twelve who have emotional, behavioral, and learning problems. Most students reside here and live in cottages with an array of different staff members supporting them.

The computer lab is open to students in grades kindergarten through twelve.

Our classroom is designed to attract all ages and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere of happiness to it when you enter. We try to keep a peaceful environment. Lessons are tailored to each student's ability and most often, one-on-one instruction is necessary.

My Project

Help me give my students some off the computer lesson plans. Every now and then my classes need a break from computers. Sometimes it because of their behavior and need a lesson that is OFF the computer or out of the lab. Other times, I like mixing other content areas with our class like typing a story about insects or a historical figure. We can type and create documents about any subject area and get students engaged in many interesting topics. These kits will help me brainstorm other content areas and give me ideas of how to incorporate the content into my curriculum.
