My Project
My students are falling in love with graphic novels and it is getting them to READ! I would love to expand my classroom library with some graphic novel variety to get them in involved in different stories.
Mystery is also an amazing way to get students involved in reading as well, and Enola Holmes is a strong, positive role model for my students.
By adding this book to our classroom novel sets we can talk about women's rights and how hard we've had to fight for them. We can also expand on the historical elements and maybe gateway some of the students into the Sherlock Holmes series!
This would also help my 5/6 team update our current classroom novel sets. Our books from the early 90's are finally giving up the ghost.
