My Project

I have a classroom full of students with high energy and learning difficulties. If I have trouble staying organized, how can I expect my students to organize themselves? I also love to lead clubs, which is where my students often shine the most, such as Ecology, STEAM, and Crocheting.

Please consider helping my students get supplies for after school clubs, STEM projects, motivational prizes, and storage items so students can organize their materials.

This project is a little bit of this and a little of that to support numerous areas. One area is STEAM, with an idea book and supplies that will allow students to follow the engineering design process and to strengthen their problem-solving skills. Another area is the garden, allowing students to use the kit to help determine soil moisture. A third area is preparation for the Crochet Club that will be beginning soon with yarn, eyes for the splendid creatures we will create, hooks to learn with, and other items. This will provide opportunity for the creative students to shine. The final area is some much wished for organizational materials. File baskets will help students to plan for the week, supplies for the treasure box to keep students' motivation high, magnetic holders will be used for sight word books and fluency pages, and the other containers to keep items organized and clean. This last area will benefit students by using classroom time to teach verses spending some time looking for items and organizing.
