My project needs 12 different resources, such as literacy puzzles, reading wands, highlighter tape to help my students learn to read.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Carlson's classroom raised $424
This project is fully funded
We are a classroom of Kindergarten's, who live on the Southside of Chicago in the Woodlawn neighborhood. We are so excited to learn how to read this school year. Our class does a lot of small group reading instruction and center work. Throughout our learning process we have so much fun together and we are hoping that you can help us learn to read.
I am requesting a variety of literacy puzzles, word wands, highlighter tape, and sentence strips to assist my students in their reading development. The literacy puzzles will help students learn how to create and read sentences, improve their phonics instruction, and motor skills.
The word wands will draw extra attention to important letters and words anywhere in the classroom. These wands help students focus on tracking words as I/they read aloud.
The highlighter tape sticks right onto sentence strips, words cards, even classroom books and easily peels off, to use again. This will help my students pay extra attention to important words, syllables, and phonics sounds.
The sentence strips can be used for students to create their own labels, flashcards, and sentences. Sentence strips can be found as print support all over my classroom.
We cannot wait to learn how to read this year in our Kindergarten classroom. Please help us learn to read by fulfilling our proposal for a variety of literacy puzzles, words wands, highlighter tape and sentence strips.
