Every day my students use the computers in our classroom as part of center work. If only I could share the look of a student who realizes it's their "Computer Day"!
A Chinese Immersion Classroom is unlike any other classroom.
Hearing "Wow, that's awesome!" comes from students in every grade level when hearing about the Chinese Immersion Program, happens almost every day!
The students in the Chinese Immersion Program love learning in general. They are motivated and constantly wanting to learn more, more, more! They are some of the brightest and best of their grade level! Just one week with this group, and you will find that you are connected to them in some way.
Our school is a unique school in the district. It has a mixture of Title One and Immersion students. It has low-income families, military families, and students of all race and background!
My Project
Student's will be using the keyboards in particular so that they are beginning to prepare for Smart Balance. Smarter Balance requires students to type their answers. This will be much easier for students to do, if they are exposed to keyboarding on a daily basis.
The students will also be using the iPad's in what ever way that Shen Laoshi needs them to in their Chinese classroom.
This project is just another thing to add to our previous project.
I didn't anticipate it being completed so quickly! These are materials that will make students experience with the iPad's that much better!
