My students are a wonderful group of young adults who are striving to learn as much as possible each day. They all have hopes and dreams of attending college after graduation. For some, they will be the first in their family to attend college. Each day, we work together using critical thinking and STEM skills to work toward their goals. My students have to overcome obstacles each day, yet they don't let any of them get them off track. My school consists of a diverse population, including military-affiliated families; 75% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
COVID19 had turned the entire world of education upside down this past year. My students are finally getting ready to return to our classroom since March 2020. There are so many new challenges they must face, I don't want not have the supplies to be one of them. When students don't have access to the basic school supplies it puts an emotional toll on them when can lead to less self esteem and emotional turmoil. I am requesting notebooks to keep my classroom well supplied for all my students to have access to. If I can take at least one worry off of their minds and help them remember they are loved and cared for, then it must happen. I want my students to return to our classroom, remain safe and healthy, and lets keep learning and growing. The cleaning clothes will be used to wipe down our desks and supplies due to COVID19 guidelines. With your help, you can provide my students with the necessary supplies to be successful and keep a positive and healthy mental outlook on their education and futures. Thank you for considering to support my students through this project.
