I have honors marine science and AP environmental science courses at my high school. While, at first, you may think these type of students may not need any help, or assistance buying materials, that is not always the case. This year, I have purchased clams, squid, crabs, shrimp, and fish for my marine science class out of my own pocket in order for them to see the specimens we are studying. My students are hardworking kids in the honors and STEM program, but our school still receives limited funds to make buying supplies possible.
I know they would love these games!
I am hoping to further my students love for the ocean and the environment through fun, educational games that tie the curriculum together!
I am hoping to use these games as a fun, engaging way to review course content at the end of the semester.
The Earthopoly game contains all of the relevant topics covered in my AP Environmental Science course, so it is a good way to review content in a fun way. The Oceanopoly game also contains many topics covered in that course so it will help review content also. They can also be used as an icebreaker at the beginning of the course.
