Ocean Oasis Classroom

Help me give my students a sturdy space to study and secure their materials on new activity tables in an ocean themed classroom.

My Project

My classroom is a mixed group of 9th-12th grade students with cognitive and developmental disabilities. Due to their nature of their disabilities, some of my students are unable to transition out of my classroom.

Creating a calm ocean oasis in my classroom with sturdy study spaces and soothing aquarium lights will help my students be able to be their best at school.

The fluorescent light covers help to create an oceanic environment by dimming the harsh overhead lights. We will use the maps and globes along with the Scholastic magazines to learn about our environment. The foot pedal garbage can will allow us to dispose of trash in a sanitary manner that is accessible to everyone in our classroom.
