My Project
Our students visit our ocean themed STEAM room weekly. I would love to be able to provide the children with more materials to enhance their discoveries and play. Having lots of blue fabric for pretend play, along with fishing sets, sea creature puppets, and building materials, will allow the children to discover new ideas and ways of using their imaginations to create.
Open-ended materials assist children in building their brain pathways and to be able to solve problems with various approaches, as well as being more cognitively flexible.
I hope to inspire my students to think beyond their initial ideas, and to dig deeper into their interests.
