Help me give my students the opportunity to use social skills by running a coffee cart with a Keurig coffee maker and items that go into making the coffee such as a cart to deliver, cups, Kcups, etc
Oce-Latte Cafe is a coffee cart run by special education students which has numerous benefits. These materials will make a difference in that it provides valuable vocational training opportunities for the students, allowing them to learn practical skills such as customer service, money handling and teamwork. This hands-on experience helps develop confidence, independence, and a sense of accomplishment. It will also foster social interactions and inclusion within the school community. Students can engage with staff promoting social skills, communication, and building relationships. This cart can be an avenue for entrepreneurship exploration, encouraging creating and problem-solving as students manage inventory, handle transactions, and make decisions regarding pricing and promotions. Each week we will have our coffee cart in which the students will practice all of these skills and put them into action.
