This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, I have the wonderful opportunity to work with students within their natural educational environment to help support them in reaching their fullest potential towards academic success.

I work with bright, creative, and resilient students that deserve every opportunity for success.

The students I serve have varying diagnoses (Autism, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, etc.) and it is my goal to help empower my students to build their confidence and develop the skills they need to participate fully within their school environment.

Fine motor skills are essential for school-related tasks such as writing, creating art, cutting, building, using common classroom materials, typing, and completing everyday tasks such as tying their shoes, managing their clothing, and self-feeding. Through your donations towards this project, each student will have access to tools they need to access their education.
