Help me give my students a hands-on experience where they will analyze data to explain how populations evolve with a Modeling Population Genetics and Evolution Kit.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Modeling Population Genetics and Evolution Kit from Carolina Biological will help me incorporate student-centered science investigations to support their understanding of how populations evolve.
They are a diverse group of motivated learners that have experienced a high level of engagement and academic success when they have been involved in hands-on investigations in my biology classes.
My current biology students are adjusting to the return of in-person learning at a large comprehensive high school. They come from a variety of different economic backgrounds and varying levels of academic success.
My students attend a 3,200-student Title I (high-poverty) school in California where 66% of the students receive free lunch.
