This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This will be my 14th year as a special education teacher in the Bronx. Each year I receive more and more students on the spectrum with a variety of needs. I love to be creative in the classroom. I am always looking for ways to make learning fun. Though all of our students are exposed to the general education curriculum, many of them require frequent movement breaks and sensory experiences to make them the most successful. My project is to ensure that my students have a clean, multi-sensory, academic experience this year that is full of fun and learning for everyone!
