This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Nutritious Refreshments project, a fun culminating activity for our 4th graders, will have students making their own smoothies and boba tea! This hands-on experience offers an engaging introduction to nutrition and healthy choices, creating a healthy class environment.

Students will learn about the basic building blocks of a balanced snack, explore new fruits and vegetables, and gain experience with food preparation in a safe, fun environment.

Nutrition education is a vital life skill, and many of our students don't regularly learn how food affects energy, focus, physical health, and emotional well-being. This project helps bridge that gap in a practical, memorable way. Each activity I create keeps the bigger picture in mind, creating a safe and healthy environment for my students.

Hands-on experience builds confidence. Simply talking about healthy food isn't enough; students need opportunities to taste, try, and create it themselves. This activity will empower them to make better food choices and discover that healthy can also be delicious.
