This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am reaching out to you on behalf of my incredible students, who attend GES in Springfield, a vibrant yet underprivileged community. Many of our students face daily challenges related to emotional regulation, which significantly impact their ability to engage positively with peers and learning opportunities.

As an educator deeply committed to the holistic development of my students, I am seeking your support to enhance our resources for social-emotional learning (SEL).

By introducing enriching books and materials, we aim to establish effective social skill groups and provide vital support for our students' emotional well-being.

In our bustling urban environment, students often encounter stressful situations that can lead to heightened emotions and conflicts. By fostering social-emotional skills, we empower our students to navigate these challenges successfully, build healthier relationships, and thrive academically and personally.
