Help me give my students a place where they can work comfortably and with needed supplies. I always provide everything they need to complete an assignment such as paper, pencils, markers, etc.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from the Covid 19 "learning" generation. Many of them admit to lethargy and lack of desire to work and learn. I provide a warm, nurturing environment that gives them a sense of belonging.
The rug, lamp, and other items requested will be used to warm up the room, provide a welcoming environment, as well as provide necessary items for students to demonstrate their learning.
To learn students need to have their basic needs met, food, safety and security, and care. Having a warm, welcoming environment to work in makes them feel safe and cared for, and having basic needs such as writing utensils and paper shows them again how much we care. We care enough to provide.
The donations will not only help the students, but the teachers that fund their rooms yearly to provide for students in a nurturing and caring environment.
