My students need LEGOs and magnet tiles to develop fine motor, building, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. They also need some new art materials to nurture their creativity.
My pre-k classroom is the first school experience that most of my young students have. They are so excited about learning and coming to school every day, and this enthusiasm for learning lays the groundwork for a lifetime of success! I teach free PreK at a Title I School in the School District of Philadelphia. We provide three free meals a day for our students and we have strong partnerships with our families. This helps ensure the children are getting the best education possible and the families have what they need to support their children. In my classroom, we spend a lot of time learning through play and learning one-on-one and in small groups. My students love having new materials and activities to explore and they learn best when they’re using their hands. Thank you in advance for helping to make our classroom a better place to learn!
My Project
My pre-k students learn best through play and creativity. The crayons, markers, dot markers, and stencils will give them ample opportunities to practice drawing and writing, which will help them develop strong fine motor and literacy skills.
The legos and magnet tiles will go in our classroom's manipulatives center to help my students with shape and color recognition, as well as fine motor and STEM skills.
There are a few other items included here that will ensure a strong start to the school year. The file folders, chart paper, and art caddies will help with organization, and the speaker will connect to our classroom laptop to play songs and rhymes during circle time and transitions to foster literacy skills.
