My Project

An otoscope is an essential medical tool to use in a school health office to examine the ears of students and assess their overall health. Early detection of ear infections decreases school absenteeism and promotes academic performance. Currently we do not have a reliable otoscope and are unable to assess the students needs.

We respond to all medical emergencies on campus, 2023-2024 we have responded to 19 emergencies.

Having our supplies quickly accessible is essential for emergent care. Currently we have one bag that is split between middle and high school emergencies as well as utilized for field trips.

We have seen and increase in student complaints of headaches, migraines and concussions. Ice caps are proved to be effective to decrease symptoms of sudden migraines.

Pulse ox monitors are utilized to assess oxygen saturation during emergencies, asthma attacks, and panic attacks. We currently share one monitor for all needs.
