Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are incredibly diverse and amazing. Our high school is very large. Students come from many different situations. There are over 80 different languages spoken by students at our school. Many of our students are immigrants from all over the world.

Northern NJ has an incredibly high cost of living, so some of our families are not able to provide essentials.

However, these students want to learn and come to school despite many hardships. This project is meant to assist those that really need a bit of additional help.

My Project

Due to the large student population in our high school, our thermometer(s) get used frequently on a daily basis. At this time, our office is now down to one working thermometer.

Since we see a large volume of students every day, having several working thermometers is essential.

When a parent is contacted, the first question asked is "does he/she have a fever?". We would like to provide them with an accurate temperature.

A new, working, medical grade thermometer would be put to very good use in our office. A donation of this piece of equipment would be greatly appreciated by our staff.
