Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help me give the students clean clothing. As a school nurse in a low income, high poverty area, not all students are able to bring proper attire or supplies needed for the fall/winter season that is upon us. As a nurse, I want to see the students succeed academically without having them worry about where they will be getting their essential needs. If the families are unable to provide needed resources to the students, then I want to be a open resource to provide and give the students what they need to succeed in school every day and do their best.
My Project
Having supplies available here at the school for the students such as underwear and snacks will block the need to call home to bring in those supplies. Not all parents able to bring in clothing because they are at work.
The band-aids and gloves will be used as a standard protection and will stop the spread of germs.
We will be able to keep scrapes covered with a Band-Aid. The Neosporin will be used to apply on the cuts or wounds and will give a sense of relief to the students.
Please help by allowing me to have these supplies available to the students. Thank you.
