Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a class with students who have special needs. It is important that my students are well prepared and are clear about expectations in the classroom. It is important to reinforce their learning with any opportunities that we have throughout the day. Planning things ahead and making things clear for students is a sure way to support my students with special needs. Thank you so much for supporting my students and helping us meet our needs in my classroom!
My Project
Part of what makes a classroom successful is how much teachers are able to manage behaviors in the classroom. Sometimes something simple is just the trick to helping my students with their behaviors!
My simple trick to start supporting my students' behavior is a great rug!
During all class activities, it is a simple yet effective solution to have a great carpet with gridlines (in this case, numbers) so that teachers can tell ask the students to sit on their assigned numbers. Even better, this carpet that we want has numbers to 120, which is a part of the curriculum for mathematics! Donating towards our carpet can make a huge difference in the participation of my students.
