My Students

My students learn best with the use of manipulatives. Their ages range between 6-7 years old. They enjoying manipulating resources and reading for information. They possess different learning styles, but standing out among them is the need to touch and or do to learn.

My Project

Many students hate math because they can not see its relevance. With these resources, my students will be able to role-play while learning math concepts. They will be able to connect mathematics to real life. They will bring the world to the classroom and also bring math to the real world. Students will develop Math concepts such as addition, subtraction, knowledge of money, how to spend money, how to calculate the change after purchasing an item or items in the store. Students will also be able to work independently while using pens to check their answers and also develop entrepreneurial skills.
