My Project

I love the heart of my students. Even though they face adversity on a daily basis they still come to school with an excitement to learn that’s simply amazing. As concepts begin to make sense you can see that light bulb switch on and excited smiles are on their faces. They’ve never believed that concepts in math would be something where they could soar because so much concentration has been on writing literacy. However, they’re now ready to not only focus on reading literacy but also on math literacy. Items in this project include number locks, find the number hands-on activities, as well as manipulatives to use when addressing addition and subtraction such as dominoes. This project seeks to give my students what they need to meet math literacy goals and landmarks!
