My Project
The Numberblocks phenomena has challenged our approach to Mathematics and turned it on its ear. Via the use of Numberblock manipulatives and visual aides, students can learn that numbers are successive, build upon each other, and share multiple relationships. In short, Numberblocks build beginning Number Sense.
Increasing the automaticity in which numbers and their parts are identified, is a game changer for my pre-k students!
These Numberblock activities and manipulatives will allow each student to engage with their numbers- recognizing Hierarchical Inclusion, readily comparing numerals and amounts, and internalizing the paired parts of a given number.
I am also requesting for 3 sets of a hands on learning science kit. Getting STEM kits, slime material, bridge building supplies, and lessons into the hands of my students will help support hands-on learning.
