My Project

Number sense is one of the foundational skills in math that students need in life. I am a first-grade teacher who wants to solidify my students' ability to work with numbers efficiently and effectively.

These number boards can be used by pairs of students to sort, count, sequence, and compare numbers.

They would be perfect for a math center.

The reason why I like these number tiles and boards is because they can be used by students of varying levels. There are supports built in for students who are still learning to count. They can practice matching numbers sequentially. Students can also highlight certain numbers to practice their skip-counting skills. There is also a blank side for students who want to challenge themselves with no support. One of my jobs is to help students see the patterns in our base ten system. I think these boards and tiles will do just that!
