Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are inner city. We are a Vanguard/ GT school as well. Most students are bused from around the city to attend our school which offers many electives and extra curricular opportunities.

We are a International Baccalaureate® (IB) Middle Years Programme school.

We have eight subject areas and are trying to make our students global citizens. My class is a Language Acquisition class that focuses on students learning a second language. Most students come with no prior knowledge, but by the end of the class, they are able to communicate at a level one.

My Project

We have had our desktop computer for thirteen years now and it’s time for an upgrade. Now, with distance learning and face to face students, it has become very clear that our desktop is very slow and old. With this new addition, students face to face will be able to present to virtual students and I will also be able to use it to give synchronous lessons. We would like this new addition to our classroom, especially when students present using Apple products, it will make it easier to have this laptop that is compatible to their phones, tablets and use keynote.
