Millions of people travel to Hawaii each year, but very few ever step into Hawaii's classrooms. Our school is in the heart of the tourist district, yet our students are unable to interact with those outside their city, much less their country.

Almost half of our student body receives free or reduced-cost lunch, while 11% of our school's population come from families who live in poverty.

This semester, we are studying how to use the dictionary, but the only copies available to our second graders are travel dictionaries whose the print is too small for them to read. Please help our school receive the necessities basic to every elementary classroom.

Your help will ensure that my second graders are able to understand what they read and can rely on their classroom dictionaries to help them become better learners. Thank you!
