Now We Have to Keep Our Chromebooks Safe and Secure!
Help me give my students this locking/charging tablet cart so we can keep our brand new (donated by a generous donor) Chromebooks safe and secure in the classroom.

My Students
I love my students! I am the Mathematics Interventionist at a high school in CT. My day consists of working with struggling learners AND the most gifted to help all of them attain their highest learning potential and plan for a bright future. This year I am working with two groups of ninth grade students in an Honors Algebra I class, and an ACE (Academic Choice For Excellence) SAT Preparation course, an ACE Precalculus class of juniors and an AP/UConn Stats of seniors. My AP/UConn Stats students are using a program called WebAssign to practice problems from our lessons. They love the interactive website and immediate feedback. Even the students in my study hall who want to improve skills and increase their chances to go to college, need to use a computer to use web-based resources such as Khan Academy - but our classroom technology carts were removed for repairs indefinitely. We have to leave our classroom and find a lab or other place to meet every time we want to use a computer. It's frustrating.
For Christmas, my Pre-Calculus students bought me a Best Teacher Ever hoodie!
They know I'll do anything for them! So, here I am!
My Project
We simply need a safe and secure place to store our Chromebooks so that they do not get stolen or damaged when I am not in my classroom (sick days, weekends...) monitoring their use. We were fortunate enough to have these amazing Chromebooks from my original request purchased by a generous donor. We are so grateful. Our school won't let us store them in the classroom without a locking cart and it would only make sense that it be a charging port as well. We need to comply with district guidelines in order to be allowed to use our Chromebooks every day. Thank you so much in advance for your help!
