My Project
When learning their are many needs that have to be met before they can fully learn. This is called Maslow's hierarchy of needs. We can't expect a child to learn until all needs are met and they feel safe and ready to learn. This is the goal we have for the little's in my classroom.
My hope is that by giving the a softer setting their heads won't hurt and they will be calm enough to focus on work without harsh light.
And by providing wiggle seats they will be able to move their bodies and continue working since they have a positive outlet.
My students are the most inventive, loving 6-7-year-olds you have ever met.
They are always wanting to learn more and I want to be able to meet their needs in small group settings so they are challenged and pushed further to reach all their goals.
Not only are we giving them a comfortable place to learn but also the tools to learn. The hot dots will educate them on their own giving them a sense of pride and the sentence builder will allow them to expand their vocabulary and writing skills.
