Help me give my students access to materials such as felt sets, books, and puzzles that will provide enrichment and motivate engagement within the classroom!
I am a preschool special education teacher. My students age in range 2.9 to 5 years old. My school is located in an urban district, where most of my materials are purchased out of pocket. My students require a multi-sensory approach to learning. As a result, the learning environment is highly engaging and interactive to ensure that the students are focused. These materials will not only assist my students who are identified as having special needs, but also those students who my just need simple classroom supports in assisting their progress and growth.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my student's learning by providing motivating activities in order for students to learn specific academic tasks, as well as ensuring that students are exposed to rich literacy experiences.
Many of my students are not exposed to literacy rich environments.
Therefore they need engaging products of which to motivate my students to actively participate within the general education process.
The felt board activity sets will be used to facilitate retelling skills and having students answer wh-questions related to a story. I included board games which appear to be entertaining in order to assist students with learning turn-taking schools.
