My Students

My students are 21 of the most important people in my life. I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students get free breakfast and lunch.

My students are some of the hardest working people I know.

They come from a variety of backgrounds and living arrangements. Some have traditional family units, and some are from less than ideal situations at home. I want my class to be a haven for each and every one of my students.

My Project

My school is lucky enough to have 1:1 technology for all of our 4th grade students, which is awesome! My students use many different educational websites and programs, on a daily basis, that require them to use headphones. These programs and websites are content rich and require complete focus. They do both reading and math programs that reinforce my daily lessons and enrich the 4th grade curriculum. These programs require them to watch videos and follow guided tutorials. Unfortunately, the headphones we have are falling apart and not every family can afford to but individual earbuds for their children. These programs can not help, if they can't hear the content. I believe my students deserve the best so they can be the best!
