My Students

I have the pleasure to teach 21 of the sweetest 6 and 7 year old 1st graders. Our school is a title one school on the outskirts of Charlotte NC.

Several of my students have special learning needs, and most have challenges making ends meet at home.

But, they all come to school ready to learn and love every minute of it. Our school is fortunate to have several garden boxes where students help plant and harvest crops. Hands on learning is essential for giving students a sense of accomplishment. Your donation will help my students in the classroom and broaden their experiences.

My Project

Because the students are in a title one school, their families have trouble making ends meet and school supplies like headphones are not essential. My students will be able to learn while playing on the ipad without distractions.

The headphones will provide a focused environment for learning.

My students read, play math games and learn on various apps on the ipad. iPad apps are expanding the learning experience both inside and outside the classroom, making it more interactive, immersive, and engaging. And we know that when students are more engaged, they are more motivated, and they perform better. With so many amazing education apps available—and more being developed all the time—there’s no limit to the exciting possibilities for learning.
