My Project

My students love novels in verse. These novels are written in the style of poetry but tell a clear story. They are impactful and usually easy to read. Students love that they can finish a book quickly and retain the information. Many times, longer novels are overwhelming to students.

Novels in verse allow students to enjoy reading without the overwhelming nature of longer novels.

My school does not purchase books for our classroom libraries and it can be challenging to add more book options. A lot of my students students struggle with reading and novels in verse are approachable.
